L’eau D’Issey Pivoine by Issey Miyake
What makes it special: Peony, or Pivoine in French, is the latest flanker of the brand’s flagship women’s perfume, L’eau D’issey, captured in its trademark cone bottle design and with a dusty rose wooden cap. Despite its fresh fruity and floral twist, we love how one can really trace the L’eau D’issey signature aquatic DNA in Pivoine.
Scent profile and character: It opens with a blast of peony and sweet watery pear, as the latter perfectly builds up the sweet fruity heart note of raspberry. The sandalwood at the base is more dusty in a very good way than its usual creaminess. Fruity scent lovers will be glad to know that the raspberry comes through in warmer weather such as ours.
Great for: It’s a scent that encompasses femininity, as Pivoine is light, delicate, yet commanding. It’s for those who enjoy being at the center of attention, modestly, letting the fragrance do the talking.
