Honored to have The...
Go To Post     AFTERNOON DELIGHT Honored to have The Beauty Edit featured in today’s issue of The Philippine Daily Inquirer. Thank you to lifestyle editor Cheche Moral and the writer of this story, Irene Perez. ✨ This was a long interview because verbosity has long been my vice, but I’m happy they were able to flesh it out and highlight the essentials, including the tiny bit about my “advice for young beauty content creators/writers who are not confident with their works,” a common question I get asked especially after putting up The Beauty Edit. I think confidence naturally emanates from doing things consistently and with the goal to get better each time. Remember the one thing that you cannot rush—experience; and the one thing you cannot fake—knowledge. Hone your skills, embrace your mistakes and learn from them, master your topics, go through the process. That’s how novices eventually turn into experts. For this story too, I’ve referred to my past conversations with dermatologists to give a bird’s eye view of certain concerns, but for very specific skin issues, nothing will still compare to an actual derm consult. This is something I’ve always been mindful about when I give advice or create content, especially on serious skincare problems. Generally, however, I talked about skincare actives, using a mild cleanser and sunscreen, and learning about your skin type, which I think everyone should know! Read the full story when you get a printed or digital copy of today’s issue of The Inquirer. What a treat for our 1st anniversary. Thank you, friends and readers, for being here. 🙏✨
