While there is no standard definition for Clean Beauty, many brands have been making an effort to use more mindful ingredients to replace questionable ones.

@sephoraph has recently launched an initiative to help consumers navigate all these products better, where you’ll find the Clean at Sephora seal on particular product pages and in store.

“We believe that everyone deserves to shop beauty on their own terms, which is why we’ve made it easy for you to navigate the vast and growing beauty sphere so that you can make more informed decisions about the products you buy,” Sephora says in a statement.

When you shop at Sephora.ph, you’ll find an entire clean category with various makeup and skincare picks that are formulated without certain ingredients like sulfates, mineral oil, phthalates, significant amounts of synthetic fragrance, parabens, formaldehydes, and more. A complete list is found on their website too for your reference.

While I use various and varied products and brands myself, I think that knowing ingredients and formulations is always beneficial. The Clean at Sephora seal, for instance, is especially helpful for those with sensitive or sensitized skin or those who want to know about potentially irritating ingredients.

I’ve rummaged through my own #Sephoraph stash to show you these brands and products which are part of the category. Obviously, a favorite is Drunk Elephant which I use from head to toe. I’m obsessed with the rose line of Fresh and the vitamin C line of Ole Henriksen. There’s also Saturday Skin, a super cool Korean skincare brand. Supergoop has a 100% mineral sunscreen too, perfect for pregnant and breastfeeding moms or those with sensitive skin. There’s Herbivore Botanicals with its popular skincare oils and face mists. And so much more. Let us know your favorites too. If you’re shopping soon, you can use our code THEBEAUTYEDIT for 10% off your total. ✨
