EVERYTHING COVERED By now you know...
Go To Post EVERYTHING COVERED By now you know what to look for in sunscreens: Broadspectrum (SPF and PA), which means it protects from UVA and UVB rays, and formulation. If it takes 10 minutes before your skin burns under the sun, an SPF50 sunscreen would protect it from burning for 500 minutes (minutes x the SPF level). A sunscreen labeled broad spectrum or indicates the PA level (PA+, ++, +++, ++++) will protect the skin from UVA, which penetrates deeper and makes the skin age. The higher the +, the higher the UVA protection. This is why makeup that offers only SPF will never be enough, whether it’s a primer or a tinted moisturizer. Sunscreen formulation is equally important as these levels. You can afford to be picky when it comes to sunscreen as 90% of skin aging is attributed to the sun. Here is my sunscreen edit: Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk | The most technologically advanced sunscreen I’ve tried that offers foolproof protection, this is the best pick for swimming. VMV Armada Face Cover | The most comfortable sunscreen I have, this provides full protection from harmful rays including IR, making it a perfect pick for every day. It’s as good as skincare with calming, moisturizing, protecting properties. Clarins UV Plus Anti Pollution Sunscreen | This fluid covers the skin with a silky touch and superb UV protection while fighting free radicals. Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense | A great physical sunscreen (safe for pregnant and breastfeeding moms) that’s comfortable and white cast-free, rare for a physical sunscreen. It’s gentle enough too for sensitive skin. FillMed E-Youth50 Sunscreen | A week’s use of this is enough for me to say that this is for keeps. Loaded with skincare ingredients like vitamins E and niacinamide, this helps brighten and moisturize while protecting the skin. Shiseido Clear Stick | This incredible clear stick does the job while being comfortable and easy to apply. La Roche Posay Anthelios Shaka Fluid | This was my entry into LRP and I’ve been a believer since. This protects from UV rays, pollution, IR, and is water, sweat, and sand resistant. It is also gentle enough to apply around the eyes. ✨
