Go To Post This @drdennisgross peel was so impressive on first use alone, so imagine the results we saw after a week. We’ve had this for a while in our skincare cabinet under the “to try” section and had we known this actually gave an instant glow effect (or knew it was “The Skincare Product Behind Olivia Culpo’s Baby Soft Skin and Has A Near-Perfect Rating At Nordstrom”), we would’ve used it earlier.
But then again, we should’ve known because there really hasn’t been a Dr. Dennis Gross product we’ve tried that didn’t impress us. This Universal Daily Peel is now our number 1 from this top rated brand at Sephora.
As the brand says, this 2-step treatment is really “fast-acting” and delivers “clinical results at home.” But when we hear something like that, we think stingy, strong peels and tomato red faces. That is NOT the case with this iconic at-home version of the renewing peel that @dennisgrossmd himself uses for his own patients at his NYC clinic. The key is in the (patented!) formulation.
Step 1 has the dose of 5 acids: Glycolic acid, which exfoliates along with lactic, malic, and citric acids that help with skin cell renewal; and salicylic acid, which helps degunk pores and fight acne. It also has genistein for collagen production; chamomile extract for soothing. Step 2, according to the brand “controls the alpha hydroxy acid activity, delivers anti-aging actives that nourishes skin while keeping it balanced, smooth, and radiant,” with retinol, green tea extract, vitamins A, C, and E, ubiquinone, resveratrol, and yarrow extract, among other ingredients that make it a powerhouse peel formulation.
Regular chemical peels, at least from what I’ve learned from our derma, are the way to go if you want to maintain beautiful, smooth, glowing skin. It’s something patients can do once a month at the derm. This treatment at least for now allows that luxury at home.
