What it is and what’s in it: Drunk Elephants’ Protini Powerpeptide Resurf Serum has two main power ingredients: Signal Peptide Complex, a blend of 11 moisture-rich signal peptides that work together to bring that oomph—supple, plump, and bouncy look—back to the skin; and lactic acid, a mild AHA that gently exfoliates to slough off dead skin cells.
Its milky and easily-absorbed consistency includes water-boosting ingredients and non-fragrant, antioxidant-rich plant oils and vitamins, which together, can help improve uneven skin tones and dull complexions and lessen visible lines, sun damage, and enlarged pores.

Drunk Elephant founder Tiffany Masterson used to have skin issues such as mild rosacea , and this led her to learn more about skincare ingredients and what they can do. She then came up with what the brand now calls the ‘Suspicious 6’ – essential oils, fragrance/dyes, silicones, chemical screens, SLS, and drying alcohols. Removing these from her regimen, her skin improved . But it was challenging to find products that didn’t contain them, and so Drunk Elephant was born.
