Bon Parfumeur–a niche French perfume brand–is now in the Philippines, and we’re delighted to share two of its most loved scents in this edition of The Beauty Edit Box first!
Bon Parfumeur is a relatively young fragrance brand with a modern brand DNA and the expertise of French perfumery. It is as much eco-responsible and clean as it is a fine work of Parisian perfumery. We think this is a testament that quality perfumes that perform and deliver can also be truly clean and conscious. Each spritz of its creative, well-thought out perfumes does deliver a precious experience. Each gender-free perfume is also made to layer well with each other. We love its coding concept that denotes specific details. For example, the number by which a perfume’s name starts is according to its olfactory family (000s are colognes that are citrus based, 100s are floral, 500s are gourmands), and the same goes for the colors.
This box features 101 Rose, Sweet Pea, White Cedar—a modern, fresh rose. This is our favorite from the 100s. It has damask rose essence and absolute with green and spicy cardamom on top, sweet pea and lily of the valley at the heart, and musk, white cedar, and subtle patchouli at the base. You get a cottony softness and delicateness with rose scent. This is precious with real and natural rose essential oil and absolute. A layering tip from the brand? “You can mix 101 with 102 for a fresh and zesty touch. Or combine it with aquatic scent 801 with its notes of sea spray and grapefruit for a sensation reminiscent of the seaside.” We also have 901 Nutmeg, Almond, Patchouli–quite the opposite of 101 as it’s spicy, warm, and sweet. The opening is quite fresh with citrus notes and ginger before the warm spices are revealed at its heart. We love the drydown of this–we get almond, vanilla, and musk.
